Warm drinks, time alone, my Passion Planner … a three-in-one daily ritual that cultivates clarity in my ever-shifting world
Though the list of additional things that bring me joy, love, life, laughter is endless, these three things are a must for me to keep my inner-self grounded and settled no matter where in the world I have landed. What about you? What are your daily rituals?
Build connection one relationship at a time, navigate the spaces within and look for the cracks.
Six careers, 3 countries, one bi-cultural marriage, 1 step-daughter, 4 babies, and 2 funerals later, my life’s passion has started to crystalize. I’m passionate about food, baking, transitions, friendship and connection and am on a mission to illustrate how women around the world find, create, nurture and maintain connection in their lives.
Life is steeped with hidden (little “g”) and big (big “G”) griefs and transitions, which we all too often just slog through, creating DISconnection in all areas of life — physical, emotional, relational, spiritual. We don’t have to navigate the abyss alone, nor do we need to bare our souls to all, but we can absolutely expand our connection repertoire in order to thrive wherever we land.
In my current season of life, connection looks like Marco Polo-ing friends in different time zones to keep our relationship intentional, reaching out to people where I currently live to build roots and community, playing with my daughters as that is how they connect, listening to my husband’s concerns about his new job, exploring the natural environment around us, baking for family and friends, and creating habits, rituals and routines to help me create clarity in my life, so I can connect with inner world in a meaningful way.

Home is not a single place for me. I feel “home sick” for multiple places and spaces.
My first word was “bye”, so it’s no big surprise that I’ve become an expert at saying goodbye to friends and family throughout my adult life. What we don’t need to say goodbye to is the feeling of “home” that people offer. When we intentionally maintain connection, with ourselves, our surroundings, and those we have around us, we are gifting ourselves a home anywhere we find ourselves.
My goal through my work is to help others find a sense of feeling at home by connecting over food from around the world.
